1Cor 6:2-3 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

YLT = “have ye not known that we shall judge messengers?
Roth. “Know ye not that we shall judge, messengers? and not, then, matters of this life?
This judging of “angels” cannot refer to “immortal angels” & must refer to the “rulers” of this world who are sent & appointed of God.
Proof.
Rom 13:1 The Powers that be are “ordained of God”
YLT. “the authorities existing are ”
This has the sense of being “appointed” by God.
Peter says they are “sent by him”
1Pet 2:12-14 “Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.”
The word “sent” is “pempo” = to dispatch, especially on a temporary errand.

They are “God’s ministers” = “diakonos” attendant or servant
Rom 13:6 For this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers,
Different word for minister, ” leitourgos” = a public servant.
Kings & governors then are God’s servants
Thus there is a sense in which the “Rulers of this world” are messengers ordained & sent of God.
This word for Angels in verse three is Aggelos = a messenger, one sent.
The same word is used of,
Mat 11:10 John Baptist was a “messenger = aggelos”
Jam 2:25 Rahab received the “messengers = aggelos”
This makes perfect sense as it is the honour of the Saints to execute the judgements written. upon the nations & their rulers.
Psa 149:6-9 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, [and] punishments upon the people;
8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron.
I will at some point do a separate post on Angels, it is important to realise that the Hebrew word is messenger & can apply to mortal & immortal beings.

4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
7 Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
