I am thy shield & exceeding great reward.
I am thy shield & exceeding great reward.
Gen 15:1 Abraham had refused the spoils of war offered by The King of Sodom. Gen 14:21-24 ” lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich”
Now God responds by saying he will protect him & reward him.
Abrahams concern is that he is childless
Gen 15:2-6 & thus the promises of Gen 12:2-3 & Gen 13:14-16 that he would be a great nation, & his seed as the dust of the earth could not be fulfilled.
Notice God was Abrahams reward “I am thy shield & exceeding great reward” — God protects [ the shield ] & oversees our lives to prepare us for the Kingdom so that we might receive The great reward of manifesting God in the earth as Kings & Priests of the Kingdom age. Rev 5:10
Let us seek for the True Riches, & not the corruptible transient material things that this life offers, be like Moses & “have respect unto the recompense of the reward”
